Since March 31, 2005 the institute does not exist any more in the previous form.
At April 1, 2005 the ETH Zurich founded a new Center for Organizational and Occupational Sciences (ZOA). It combines the former research groups of the Institute of Hygiene and Applied Physiology (iha) and the Institute of Work Psychology (ifap). The center promotes a holistic perspective related to man, work, engineering and health. Additionally, it intends to strengthen the connection with health promotion at work and investigations in the field of Public Health.
